Tribulus

Tribulus Terrestris, also known colloquially as "puncturevine," is a wild, one-year plant that grows in arid regions of Europe, Asia, and America. The most renowned habitats, with exceptional plant quality, are in the Caucasus, Central Asia, and Bulgaria, where it has been cultivated for centuries for medicinal purposes. It is used in traditional medicine as a natural stimulator of sexual functions in both men and women, vitality, endurance, and the acceleration of the body's recovery after intense efforts. It is a non-hormonal biostimulator and an alternative to synthetic hormones. Tribulus works by having its active components (saponins) stimulate the pituitary gland to increase the secretion of luteinizing hormone (LH), which signals the sex glands to secrete sex hormones. In men, it leads to increased secretion of their own (endogenous) testosterone.
