Why Unflavored Protein?
Customers who choose the unflavored variant of whey protein want to avoid artificial additives - flavors, colors, and sweeteners (sucralose, acesulfame potassium, aspartame, etc.) to ensure a more natural form of protein for their bodies.
The unflavored form of a protein is the purest form of a product in a specific product line. Colors, flavors, and sweeteners reduce the protein concentration in the product by 3-5%. In the case of lower quality products and manufacturers, this percentage can go up to 8%, significantly diminishing the quality of powder and liquid dispersion, often resulting in lumpy meals. Products in this category still maintain a high biological value and a high content of amino acids.
Unflavored proteins are ideal for recipes as they are flavorless (natural) - most similar in taste to powdered milk, so they won't alter the taste of other ingredients that are the focus of that recipe.
