Nike

The company was founded in 1964 by Bill Bowerman and Phil Knight as "Blue Ribbon Sports" and officially became Nike, Inc. in 1971. The company was named after Nike, the Greek goddess of victory, and is the world's leading designer, seller, and distributor of authentic athletic footwear, apparel, equipment, and accessories for a wide range of sports and fitness activities. Nike sells its products under its own brand, as well as Nike Golf, Nike Pro, Nike+, Air Jordan, Nike Blazers, Air Force 1, Nike Dunk, Air Max, Foamposite, Nike Skateboarding, Nike CR7, and subsidiaries including Jordan Brand and Converse. Nike sponsors many prominent athletes and sports teams worldwide, with highly recognized slogans "Just Do It" and the Swoosh logo.
