Vitamin E

Vitamin E is most abundant in cell membranes within the body, and its primary role is as an antioxidant, combating free radicals (harmful byproducts of metabolism). It is also the primary fat-soluble antioxidant. A secondary role of vitamin E is reducing inflammatory disorders (allergies) and symptoms of PMS. Additionally, it protects LDL (bad) cholesterol from oxidation, maintains the health of red blood cells, blood vessels, nerves, and muscles, and works to safeguard the body from poisoning (heavy metals) and more.
