Electrolytes

Electrolytes are substances that are essential for the proper functioning of our body, especially in maintaining the function of the nervous system and regulating the levels of bodily fluids. They are necessary for the proper function of all cells in the body and play a key role in regulating the body's pH, proper muscle function, and the transmission of nerve signals. The most important electrolytes are potassium, sodium, calcium, magnesium, and chlorides. Electrolytes are lost from the body through sweating, so it is important to regularly replenish them during or after prolonged physical activities; otherwise, it can lead to dehydration, muscle cramps, and a general decrease in athletic and overall performance.
