Wave Rider GTX, Women's, Vintage Indigo/Neo Lime

Mizuno

These premium shoes are designed for runners who want a fast, responsive, and cushioned running shoe for both groomed and unmanicured trails. The main advantage of Mizuno running shoes is the balance between cushioning, stability, and responsiveness, ensuring a smooth transition from heel to toe and vice versa.

The GTX version of the legendary Wave Rider features a water-resistant Gore-Tex invisible-fit membrane. The midsole consists of Enerzy and U4icX foam, offering even more comfort, softness, and stability to runners. The Mizuno Wave, a wave plate in the midsole, ensures better torsional stability and responsiveness of the running shoe. The outsole is made of x10 carbon rubber, providing excellent traction on various surfaces.

Mizuno WAVE technology - "W" - A unique technology that combines two essential elements to create excellent running shoes: comfort and stability. When running, there are excessive forces and tensions throughout the body, so to minimize the risk of injury, the right combination of comfort and stability is needed. The Wave plate allows excellent shock absorption by spreading the impact force over a larger surface area. The stability of Wave technology is achieved in the outer (lateral) and inner (medial) surfaces of the shoe, designed to stabilize the foot. The basic elements of comfort and stability in the Wave plate are designed to be suitable for all types of athletic shoes, which is reflected in the lightest and most advanced shoes with the highest performance.

DYNAMOTION FIT - A system that allows the upper part of the shoe to follow the movement of the foot and thus prevents instability in the shoe.

Mizuno Enerzy - A new material in the lower part of the sole, softer and providing more comfort and greater energy return than any previous material. The energy return makes running faster.

AirMesh - New, lighter, more elastic, and stronger material (woven mesh) on the upper part of the shoe. It provides excellent breathability for the running shoe.

SMOOTH RIDE technology - It enables optimal comfort and enjoyment while running. The new midsole part, developed by Mizuno based on the latest computer running simulations, provides better shock absorption and increases the flexibility of the running shoe. The extended Wave plate creates a smoother weight transfer from heel to toe.

U4iC - A new midsole technology that is 30% lighter than the previous AP+ foam but with the same functionality (comfort, stability). It guarantees an excellent feeling while running, based on the exceptional comfort and softness of lightweight running shoes.

X10 - A special rubber that is 80% more durable than existing rubber. It is placed on the part of the outsole that wears the most, effectively protecting the sole and extending the shoe's lifespan.

HOW TO DETERMINE YOUR SHOE SIZE?

Feet size

Follow these simple steps to find your size.

  1. Stand upright on a hard surface with your heel against a wall and a piece of blank paper taped to the floor, aligned with the wall under your foot.
  2. Have someone mark the longest part of your foot on the paper with a pencil, or mark it yourself if needed. Repeat with the other foot, as your right and left sizes may differ.
  3. Measure the length of your foot from heel to the longest toe (called heel-to-toe length). Use the longest length to find your size on the chart above.

Not sure which size to order?

Use the chart above to determine your size. If you're between sizes, choose the smaller size for a snug fit or the larger size for a roomier fit.

How to measure your feet?

Wear socks you’ll wear with the shoes and measure your feet in the afternoon (feet usually swell throughout the day). Distribute your weight evenly before measuring.
