Mizuno Wave Rider GTX Trail Running Shoes, Abyss/Ebony/Tangerine Tango

Mizuno

High-performance running shoes are designed for runners seeking a fast, responsive, and cushioned running experience. The main advantage of Mizuno running shoes lies in the balance between cushioning, stability, and responsiveness, facilitating a smooth transition from heel to toe and vice versa.

The GTX version of the legendary Wave Rider shoe features a water-resistant Gore-Tex Invisible-fit membrane. The midsole consists of Enerzy and U4icX foam, providing runners with increased comfort, cushioning, and stability.

The Mizuno Wave, a wavy plate in the midsole, ensures better torsional stability and responsiveness of the shoe. The outsole is made of X10 carbon rubber, offering excellent traction on various surfaces.

The fabric, laces, insole, and wave plate are made from 90% recycled materials.

Key technologies include Mizuno Wave, Mizuno Enerzy, U4iC, Gore-Tex, AIRmesh, DynamotionFit, PremiumINSOCK, SmoothRide, and X10.

  • MIZUNO WAVE TECHNOLOGY - "W": A unique technology that combines two essential elements to create excellent running shoes - comfort and stability. The Wave plate provides effective impact absorption by spreading the force over a larger surface. Wave technology achieves stability on the outer (lateral) and inner (medial) sides of the shoe, designed to stabilize the foot.
  • Mizuno Enerzy: A new material in the lower part of the midsole, softer, offering greater comfort and energy return than previous materials, resulting in faster running.
  • U4iC: A new midsole technology, 30% lighter than the previous AP+ foam but with the same functionality (comfort, stability). It ensures an excellent running experience based on exceptional comfort and softness of lightweight running shoes.
  • GORE-TEX: A waterproof and breathable membrane in the upper part of the shoe.
  • AirMesh: A new, lighter, more elastic, and durable material (woven mesh) on the upper part of the shoe, providing excellent breathability.
  • DYNAMOTION FIT System: Allows the upper part of the shoe to follow the foot's movement, preventing instability in the foot.
  • SMOOTH RIDE: A technology that enables optimal comfort and enjoyment while running. The extended Wave plate facilitates a smoother weight transfer from heel to toe.
  • X10: Special rubber, 80% more durable than existing rubber, placed in the most worn-out part of the outsole, effectively protecting and prolonging the lifespan of the shoe.

HOW TO DETERMINE YOUR SHOE SIZE?

Feet size

Follow these simple steps to find your size.

  1. Stand upright on a hard surface with your heel against a wall and a piece of blank paper taped to the floor, aligned with the wall under your foot.
  2. Have someone mark the longest part of your foot on the paper with a pencil, or mark it yourself if needed. Repeat with the other foot, as your right and left sizes may differ.
  3. Measure the length of your foot from heel to the longest toe (called heel-to-toe length). Use the longest length to find your size on the chart above.

Not sure which size to order?

Use the chart above to determine your size. If you're between sizes, choose the smaller size for a snug fit or the larger size for a roomier fit.

How to measure your feet?

Wear socks you’ll wear with the shoes and measure your feet in the afternoon (feet usually swell throughout the day). Distribute your weight evenly before measuring.
